Fitter

Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Fitter to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Port Maintenance, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively undertaking servicing, repair and maintenance of all mechanical and rotating plant and equipment to meet production targets as set out.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Conveyor, Reclaimer, Stacker, Bargeloader operations & maintenance
• Fault finding & repairs on ocean going vessels whilst alongside the wharf or at sea

Successful applicant will have:

• Engineer Trade Qualification – Fitter/Machinist
• A current Drivers Licence
• Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
• High Risk Work Licence – DG, EWP
• Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry
• Experience with automated lubrication distribution systems
• Experience with fault finding and repairs to complex hydraulic systems
• Understanding of SAP
