FIFO Logistics Officer

Our client, a Global leader in the minerals and resources industry, is seeking an experienced People Logistics Officer to join their Perth based team.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 month assignment - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $45.00 p/h
The Role:
This role is responsible for ensuring seamless mobilisation and demobilisation of personnel and contractors, with a strong focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and customer service.
In this fast-paced logistics environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of travel and accommodation bookings for FIFO personnel and contractors. You will work within a high-volume workflow system, responding to urgent requests and ensuring operational requirements are met efficiently.
This role plays a critical part in supporting workforce movement, particularly during peak demand periods and unplanned operational events.
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage daily workflow tasks to ensure timely processing of travel and accommodation requests
- Respond to phone and case management queries in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate FIFO travel and accommodation bookings, including flights, village accommodation, and transport arrangements
- Support urgent and unplanned travel requirements (e.g. flight disruptions, delays, cancellations, cyclone events, or village changes)
- Identify and escalate system or booking issues as required
- Support optimisation of flight and accommodation utilisation during peak demand periods
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within logistics processes and systems
The ideal candidate will hold the following**:**
- Previous experience in logistics, travel coordination, mobilisation or FIFO support roles
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
- High-level attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using workforce logistics systems (e.g. INX or similar) highly regarded
