Cater Care Services are seeking an experienced Handyperson with some utility knowledge to join our remote mining villages across QLD Australia. You will be required to complete non-trade handyperson duties as well as assist the broader utility team where required.

About the Role

This role involves a mix of non-trade handyman duties and utility support across remote mining villages. The successful candidate will perform a range of tasks as listed below.

Key Responsibilities

• Handyperson duties - replacing locks/door handles/washers/ light bulbs and general camp maintenance
• Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
• Utility duties when required - Housekeeping and Kitchen Hand
• Load / unload truck on delivery day
• Gardening & Grounds Work
• Basic plumbing
• Use of power tools
• Collection and disposal of rubbish

Requirements / About You

• Current Australian driver's license
• Previous grounds and maintenance experience in a hospitality environment
• Forklift license
• National Police Clearance within 6 months
• Ability to work well with other team members
• Motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass a pre employment medical
• Ability to work in various weather conditions

Qualifications & Certifications

• Current Australian driver's license
• Forklift license
• National Police Clearance within 6 months

What’s On Offer / Benefits

• Salary: Remuneration range - $80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation
• Job Type: Permanent - Full Time
• Location: QLD: Brisbane
• Rosters: Various rosters (2/1 or 8/6)
• Shift times: 10, 11 or 11.5 hours
• Sites: QLD Australian sites available across Ernest Henry, Bauxite Hills, Ravenswood, Ensham, Baralaba, Jellinbah, Clarke Creek, Lake Vermont, Cracow, and Archers Village
