Field Technician (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)

About the opportunity:

Stellar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Heavy Road Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established mining services operation supporting mobile plant and heavy vehicle fleets across Western Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Fault finding, maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles and mobile plant equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical faults.
• Completing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring inventory is kept up to date.
• Supporting operational teams and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working closely with supervisors and maintenance personnel to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanics (Cert III or equivalent).
• Strong experience maintaining heavy vehicles and mobile plant equipment.
• Proven fault-finding ability across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with low-voltage electrical systems and automated controls.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Current HR Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Ability to obtain relevant security clearances if required.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and within a team environment.
