Field Technician

About the Role

If you're a Field Technician with experience in core processing, drill support and mining operations, this FIFO opportunity offers the chance to join a fast-paced production team and play a key role in supporting underground diamond drilling programs.

Working within the core yard and alongside experienced geologists and drill crews, you'll be responsible for ensuring all core is processed efficiently and accurately to support ongoing production and resource definition activities.

With two underground diamond drill rigs currently operating and a third rig expected to commence shortly, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a 6-month contract within an active gold mining environment.

This role operates on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, with accommodation provided in comfortable ensuite rooms with a range of on-site amenities, including a well-equipped gym.

Key Responsibilities

• Core processing, core metre marking, and tray preparation
• Assisting with drill pad preparation and drill support activities
• Supporting geologists with logging and sampling activities
• Adhering to site safety standards and operational procedures

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Field Assistant or Core Yard Technician
• Demonstrated experience in drill pad preparation and core metre marking
• Exposure to underground diamond drilling programs
• Current C class manual driver's licence
• Current Forklift licence
