As our Fuels & Energy East business continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Painting Supervisors interested in expanding their experience across the bulk storage, fuels, refining and terminal infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced team delivering solutions for some of Australia's most critical assets.

You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of fuel terminals, storage facilities, refining infrastructure, brownfield modifications, asset integrity programs, capital projects and operational support activities. You'll work alongside industry experts and develop valuable experience across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and design through to procurement, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise surface preparation, protective coatings and painting activities across fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities, pipelines and associated infrastructure assets.
  • Coordinate painting crews, contractors, equipment and materials to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules.
  • Oversee coating application works on tanks, structural steel, piping, marine facilities and operational infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all blasting and painting activities are completed in accordance with relevant industry standards, environmental requirements, permit conditions and site safety procedures.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity and project progress, conducting inspections and resolving technical issues to ensure coating integrity and long-term asset protection.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, construction, engineering and asset integrity teams to support shutdowns, remediation programs, tank maintenance projects and ongoing asset preservation initiatives.

About You

  • Trade qualification in Painting, Protective Coatings, Surface Treatment or equivalent industry experience within industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising painting and blasting activities within fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of protective coating systems, surface preparation requirements, corrosion management and industry standards relating to asset preservation.
  • Proven ability to lead site-based teams and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Sound understanding of permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, working at heights, environmental compliance and safety requirements in high-risk operational environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple work fronts, manage stakeholders and drive successful project and maintenance outcomes.
