As our Fuels & Energy East business continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisors interested in expanding their experience across the bulk storage, fuels, refining and terminal infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced team delivering solutions for some of Australia's most critical assets.

You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of fuel terminals, storage facilities, refining infrastructure, brownfield modifications, asset integrity programs, capital projects and operational support activities. You'll work alongside industry experts and develop valuable experience across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and design through to procurement, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance, construction and commissioning activities across fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate daily E&I work activities, contractors and resources to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, switchgear, hazardous area equipment and terminal automation systems.
  • Ensure all E&I activities comply with relevant electrical standards, hazardous area requirements, safety regulations, quality procedures and permit-to-work systems.
  • Monitor work progress, quality outcomes and equipment performance, identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain asset reliability and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, engineering and project teams to support shutdowns, brownfield upgrades, asset integrity programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You / Requirements

  • Trade qualified Electrician, Instrumentation Technician, Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, or equivalent, with proven experience in industrial maintenance, construction or operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising Electrical & Instrumentation teams within fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, utilities or other high-risk industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA, hazardous area equipment, motor control systems and process control infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead contractors and site-based work crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards, procedures and project requirements.
  • Sound understanding of electrical safety, isolation procedures, permit-to-work systems, hazardous area compliance and risk management practices within live operational environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, engage stakeholders and drive maintenance and project outcomes across complex industrial assets.
