As our Fuels & Energy East business continues to grow, we are inviting Expressions of Interest from Mechanical Supervisors interested in expanding their experience across the bulk storage, fuels, refining and terminal infrastructure sectors. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly experienced team delivering solutions for some of Australia's most critical assets.

You will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of fuel terminals, storage facilities, refining infrastructure, brownfield modifications, asset integrity programs, capital projects and operational support activities. You'll work alongside industry experts and develop valuable experience across the full asset lifecycle, from concept and design through to procurement, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance, construction and asset integrity activities across fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities, pipelines and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate daily site activities, labour resources, contractors and equipment to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance and repair works on critical mechanical assets including storage tanks, pumps, valves, piping systems, loading facilities and ancillary equipment.
  • Ensure all work is executed in compliance with safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements, while promoting a strong safety-first culture on site.
  • Monitor work progress, productivity and quality outcomes, identifying and resolving technical issues to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and project teams to support shutdowns, brownfield upgrades, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Pipefitter or equivalent, with demonstrated experience supervising mechanical works in industrial or heavy asset environments.
  • Proven experience in fuel terminals, bulk storage facilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, utilities or other high-risk operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment including storage tanks, pumps, piping systems, valves, loading facilities, rotating equipment and associated infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate site-based work crews and contractors, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
  • Sound understanding of permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures, risk management and compliance requirements within live operational or brownfield environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and drive successful maintenance and project outcomes.
