Join a well-established mining company with a significant presence in the Australian resources sector. Be part of a collaborative exploration team working on a mid-tier mining project with ongoing drilling programs.

Your New Role

  • Exploration Geologist position supporting exploration activities across multiple sites, primarily based at operations in regional WA.
  • Oversee and support RC and diamond drilling programs.
  • Provide rig supervision and ensure drilling activities are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Mentor and support graduate geologists who are managing day-to-day drilling activities.
  • Coordinate contractors and maintain strong stakeholder relationships on-site.
  • Manage drill programs, logging, data entry, validation and review.
  • Ensure high-quality geological data collection and reporting.
  • Initial contract from late July through to late September/early October.
  • 8:6 FIFO roster with Thursdays as the designated fly day.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Degree qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in exploration geology within the mining industry.
  • Strong RC and diamond drilling supervision experience.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate field activities.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior or graduate geologists.
  • Strong geological logging, data management and QA/QC skills.
  • Current driving licence and ability to work FIFO rosters.
