Westgold Resources is an innovative and progressive West Australian gold producer located in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions of WA. Due to recent growth we are now embarking on a manning increase of the Beta Hunt Operation and looking to employ Experienced Underground Nippers on an 8:6/7:7 roster on a permanent full-time basis.

THE ROLE

• Delivery and pick up of equipment such as tools, piping, services, and anything else that is needed
• Removal of waste items from Underground work areas to waste dumps
• Provide ground support to Jumbo Operators and assist with general mining services and installation of ground support
• Assist with all operations including offside operators
• Possess excellent housekeeping standards to ensure machinery is kept clean and tidy
• Be organised and undertake all assigned tasks by the Shift Supervisor
• Be familiar and comply with all Company Procedures, Guidelines and Work Methods applicable to your role

WHAT DO I NEED

• Current "C" Class Western Australian driver's licence (essential)
• Minimum of 12 months experience working in an underground mining environment
• Prior experience working as an Underground Nipper and an understanding of this role
• Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
• Excellent communication skills
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude
