About the Role

As an Excavator Operator, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating large-scale mining excavators and supporting daily production targets. You’ll work closely with Supervisors and the wider production team to maximise productivity while maintaining a strong focus on safe operating practices, equipment care and site standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating 120t+ Excavators and D9+ Dozers in a production mining environment
• Loading haul trucks safely and efficiently
• Completing pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance requirements
• Working closely with Supervisors, Dispatch and production crews to achieve daily targets
• Following mine plans, operational procedures and site requirements
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and equipment care
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with site standards

About You / Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating 120t+ Excavators in a production mining environment
• Experience operating D9+ Dozers
• Current RII competencies and/or verifiable operating history
• Strong understanding of safe excavation and truck loading practices
• A strong commitment to safety and risk management
• Reliable attendance and a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced mining environment
• Ability to meet all site access and pre-employment requirements
