The Opportunity
As an Excavator Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of large mining excavators, helping deliver production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and equipment care.
In this role, you will:
- Operate Excavators and Dozers in a production mining environment
- Load haul trucks safely and efficiently to maximise production
- Complete pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
- Identify and report equipment faults and maintenance requirements
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors and Production crews to achieve daily targets
- Follow mine plans, operational procedures and site standards
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, housekeeping and equipment reliability
About You To be successful, you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience operating 120t+ Excavators and D9+ Dozers within a production mining environment
- Current RII competencies and/or verifiable operating history
- A sound understanding of safe excavation and truck loading practices
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Reliable attendance and a positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced mining environment
