Based in South Melbourne, our client is a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing business supplying specialist products to a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Due to ongoing growth and business expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team.

South Melbourne location
Monday to Friday, full-time hours
$80,000 - $100,000 + super (depending on experience)

The Role:
Working within the estimating team, you will support the delivery of multiple projects and report to the Estimating Team Leader. Key duties will include:
- Prepare accurate, and competitive tenders for insulated panel projects covering labour, materials, subcontractors, and preliminaries
- Conduct scope studies to determine project suitability for company products
- Review drawings and specifications to identify commercial risks in the project scope
- Maintain detailed and organised records of methods and calculations of each tender
- Obtain and validate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
- Prepare clear tender letters outlining inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications
- Collaborate with sales, drafting, and construction teams, and attend meetings to support estimate clarification and project delivery
- Issue RFIs and participate in tender reviews to meet submission deadlines
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Proven estimating experience, ideally within the Australian construction industry
- Use of CostX estimating software and Pronto business software
- Proficient at reading and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, briefs and other project specific documentation
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-critical tender deadlines
- The capacity to attend site visits and safely navigate active construction environments
- Full Australian working rights
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
