Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join the project team of a leading WA resources organisation delivering a major greenfields iron ore development.

Roster: 5/2 Perth based

Start date: Mid to late August 2026

Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements

Pay Rate: $65 - $85 p/h + Super depending on experience

About the Role

Environmental Advisor responsible for coordinating environmental approvals and delivering high-quality regulatory documentation within a collaborative approvals team. This role is ideal for an environmental professional with experience in approvals, environmental impact assessment and technical report writing on a large-scale mining project.

Reporting to the Principal Environment, you will support the delivery of environmental approvals by coordinating technical inputs and preparing high-quality regulatory documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing environmental approval documentation for State and Commonwealth regulators.
  • Coordinating technical inputs from environmental specialists and project teams.
  • Drafting proposal descriptions, impact assessments and mitigation measures.
  • Preparing stakeholder engagement summaries and responses to regulatory comments.
  • Reviewing documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy and quality.
  • Managing multiple deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
  • Working closely with consultants, regulators and internal stakeholders throughout the approvals process.

About You / Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in environmental approvals, environmental management or environmental impact assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing high-quality technical or regulatory documentation.
  • Sound understanding of WA environmental legislation, particularly Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act and the EPBC Act.
  • Excellent written communication and document coordination skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
