About the Role
The Basic Function of the Engineering Technician Refrigeration Mechanic is to undertake day-to-day preventative and breakdown maintenance & operation of FIFO camp refrigerated assets. The location of these roles are within our I&S Villages, positions based at the below village;
2 x Villages (Mulla Mulla/Packsaddle)
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor I&S, your role will include but not limited to;
- Undertaking preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action;
- Working from schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals, and recording any modifications;
- Breakdown and fault analysis, repairs and servicing on commercial fridge/freezer assets, commercial and split air conditioning systems;
- Carrying out commissioning, fault finding and repair work within the whole-of-job scope, including pre-work, preparation of JHAs, organising materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks;
- Safely carry out equipment isolations in preparation for maintenance and shutdowns;
- Accurately completing documentation, including drawing mark-ups and technical reporting;
- Accurately recording information for Quality and Reliability reporting; Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance systems and cost saving initiatives.
- Utilising computerised maintenance management systems; and
- Undertaking training as required
About You
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Australian C class Drivers License, (HR favourable)
- Trade Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Restricted Electrical License
- National Arctick Refrigerant Handling License
- Dual Trade Refrigeration Mechanic/Electrician is preferred
- EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights Certificates (Desirable)
- Experience with statutory compliance requirements for Mine Safety and Inspection Act. and Refrigeration reporting to the
- Refrigeration trading council [Arctick]
- Sound experience with commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- FIFO Camp maintenance and operation background highly desirable.
- 1SAP experience (Highly Desirable)
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power point, Adobe
Location
You will be based at Mulla Mulla Village (Area C) on a fly-in fly-out 7/7 roster. The outstanding facilities at our FIFO village include; a fully equipped gyms, swimming pool, golf simulator, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court; soccer oval, games room and TV lounge. All rooms at the village have access to wireless internet, an ensuite bathroom, flat screen television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
