About the Company
UGL is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering design across large complex mission-critical projects, including advanced data centre environments. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll shape design outcomes, drive technical excellence, and lead high-performing teams from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design delivery of mission-critical data centre and complex infrastructure projects, ensuring systems are engineered for resilience, uptime, redundancy and operational performance
- Drive multidisciplinary design coordination across MEP and controls systems, resolving high-risk interface challenges critical to data centre reliability and commissioning outcomes
- Manage design against program, budget and scope, ensuring commercial alignment while supporting the delivery of high-value, technically complex mission-critical facilities
- Champion design governance and engineering assurance, including safety in design, risk management and compliance aligned to data centre standards and operational readiness
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, mentoring senior resources while engaging stakeholders across the lifecycle of data centre and critical infrastructure delivery
About You
- Relevant Engineering qualifications
- Proven experience delivering Data Centres, Building Services or major infrastructure mission-critical projects
- Strong track record leading high-performing, multidisciplinary design teams
- Demonstrated experience in Design & Construct (D&C) project delivery
- Commercially savvy with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Committed to safety, innovation, and engineering excellence
