Job Description

The Role

We are currently seeking experienced Substation Electricians to join our team working on the Maragle substation. This will be on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 2:1 roster, based in camp at Kunama, NSW. All flights, accommodation and meals provided to you. Locals to our project are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Install new electrical equipment such as but not limited to switchboards, control panels, switchgear, fittings, cabling, earthing systems, transformers and other substation equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Perform cable testing, fault finding and quality inspections
  • Ensure compliance with electrical, safety and project standards
  • Identify and rectify installation defects
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors and management teams

About you / Key Requirements

  • Trade Qualification - Electrical Licence
  • Construction Whitecard
  • High Risk Work Licence - Work Platform
  • LV Rescue
  • Previous experience working on substations or high voltage construction projects
  • Additional high risk work licenses – highly advantageous
  • Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do
  • Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical
