About Our Client
Our client is Australia's largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join a Development team at Aquila Mine. This is a short-term opportunity supporting parental leave coverage, offering a great roster, strong hourly rate, and camp accommodation.
About the Role
This position will see you working within the Development team on a 7/7 rotating roster (Days & Nights), completing maintenance and electrical tasks in a mining environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrician looking for a well-balanced roster and an immediate start.
Please note, this is a temporary role and will conclude on 13/08/2026.
What You Will Be Doing
- Carrying out electrical maintenance and breakdown support on mining equipment
- Fault finding and diagnostics across fixed and mobile plant
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with site safety procedures and compliance requirements
- Working collaboratively within a crew to meet production targets
What You Will Need
- Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current Electrical Licence
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Previous mining experience (highly desirable)
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
