Hays are the recruiting experts within the Building Maintenance and Service sector and based on an increase in labour hire positions available, we are looking for mining camp and site infrastructure maintenance electricians to be part of our award-winning client's relief pool.

These roles are temp/casual positions, fly-in-fly-out from Perth, usually on a 2:1 or 1:1 roster depending on site requirements. Due to the casual nature of these roles, you must reside in the Perth region and valid Rio Tinto, BHP or FMG inductions will be highly regarded.

Your new role

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure smooth camp operations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full WA Electrical Licence
• Minimum C Class Driving Licence
• First Aid and up-to-date CPR
• Recent experience in commercial maintenance
• Previous FIFO experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including generators and lighting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
