About the Role

Techforce Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant with Telehandler experience to support the construction of a major 330/33kV substation project in New South Wales. Working alongside electricians and project teams, you will assist with the installation and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure on a large-scale energy project.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with:

Installation of primary and secondary electrical equipment
Cable installation and cable pulling activities
Cable termination support
Earthing system installation
Protection and control system installation
Equipment fit-out and assembly
Testing and commissioning support
Safe operation of telehandlers and material handling equipment
General trade assistant duties as required

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Trade Assistant on electrical, industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects
Telehandler ticket and operating experience
Experience working on transmission substations (132kV–330kV) highly regarded
Exposure to utility-scale renewable energy projects
High Voltage installation experience advantageous
Strong understanding of site safety procedures
Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Tickets & Qualifications

Applicants must hold:

Construction White Card
Telehandler Licence/Ticket
EWP Licence (highly regarded)
Working at Heights
First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Current Driver's Licence
Reliable transport
