Our client is amongst the world’s top producers of major commodities, including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from their production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.

About the Role

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across critical infrastructure within a large-scale mining and processing operation.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to improve equipment reliability, plant availability and operational performance.
• Perform inspections, testing and maintenance on a range of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with site standards and procedures.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams while maintaining high housekeeping standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting less experienced team members where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hold a South Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence (or eligibility to obtain) and a current Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience within mining, minerals processing, fixed plant or heavy industrial environments, with exposure to HV equipment including switchgear, transformers, motors and HV isolations/de-isolations.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability, with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance.
• Hold a High Voltage Switching qualification and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical maintenance within an operational environment.
• Current Working at Heights, EWP (over 10m), and Confined Space & Gas Testing certifications.
• Competent computer skills, ideally including exposure to SAP, with a sound understanding of WHS legislation and quality assurance requirements.
