Electrical Supervisor - Mining Projects | FIFO 8/6 | Market Rate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support the delivery of capital and sustaining projects across a large-scale mining operation. This is an initial 5-month contract with an immediate start, offering strong exposure within a high-performing project environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Leadership team, you will play a key role supervising electrical works across installation, commissioning, and project execution activities. This position will see you working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery of works within an operating plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance
* Provide visible safety leadership and ensure compliance with site HSE systems
* Ensure all electrical works are executed in line with permits, procedures, and risk controls
* Lead pre-starts, toolbox talks, and JHAs
* Identify and manage hazards, risks, and change events

Supervision & Leadership
* Supervise electricians, HV technicians, and contractors on site
* Coordinate daily activities, allocate tasks, and manage workforce requirements
* Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to site crews
* Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality

Project Execution
* Oversee electrical installation, commissioning, and upgrade works
* Interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
* Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and operations teams
* Deliver works in line with project schedules and budgets

Planning & Coordination
* Assist with scoping, planning, and sequencing of works
* Coordinate materials, plant, and specialised electrical equipment
* Liaise with engineers, planners, vendors, and key stakeholders
* Support shutdowns and project transitions

Quality & Reporting
* Ensure compliance with electrical standards and QA/QC requirements
* Manage inspections, testing, and handover documentation
* Maintain accurate reporting of progress, workforce hours, and performance

About You

Essential
* Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology or equivalent)
* Current Electrical Licence (WA or transferable)
* Proven experience supervising electrical works within mining or heavy industry
* Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and team leadership

Desirable
* HV switching or operations experience
* Experience within shutdown or brownfield project environments
* Supervisory training or leadership development
* High Risk Work Licences (EWP, WAH, Dogging - site dependent)
