About the Role
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical capital projects through the full project life cycle, from early studies and detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing electrical projects from concept development through to completion
- Coordinating consultants during feasibility studies, engineering, and detailed design phases
- Managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting requirements
- Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Leading project execution, construction activities, and commissioning works
- Reviewing and managing project documentation, technical deliverables, and governance requirements
- Collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external stakeholders
- Ensuring all work is delivered in line with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Driving project performance and continuous improvement outcomes
About You / Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing electrical projects within mining, resources, heavy industry, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Proven experience managing consultants through study, design, and project delivery phases
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and project governance requirements
- Experience managing contractors during construction and commissioning activities
- Sound knowledge of contract administration and contractor management
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities in a dynamic operational environment
- Electrical trade or engineering qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards
