About the Role
Monadelphous is entering an exciting phase of growth and has been awarded a long-term contract for a blue-chip client involved in an integral Car Dumper upgrade based at Port Hedland. This is a short-term shutdown contract, with opportunities of long-term work with Monadelphous past the shutdown. Working with an industry leading project team, we are seeking highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Engineers to join our busy Engineering Construction division. The ideal candidate will have experience working on similar electrical scopes, ideally for BHP in a brownfields environment.
The role of the Electrical Project Engineer will be to provide engineering services and project management support for assigned projects. Provide advice and support for staff involved on the project/contract. Coach and mentor other less experienced engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Workpack development and aiding with planning, scheduling and executing the electrical scope of work including organising project resources, equipment and materials/procurement as directed to meet project or contractual requirements
- Provide advice, technical or functional information as required to Supervision and project staff involved in the execution of electrical works
- Coordinate and monitor electrical installation, testing, commissioning and energisation activities in accordance with project requirements
- Identify hazards and advise on safety procedures. Actively monitor work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance
- Work in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications, Australian Standards and project requirements
- Build and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders
About You / Requirements
- Previous experience working in an Electrical Engineering capacity, developing project/construction schedules and work packs, completing progress reporting and monitoring milestones within the mining industry
- Demonstrated experience delivering electrical construction, shutdown or brownfields projects, including installation, testing and commissioning activities
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong interpersonal skills
- Clear technical skills with demonstrated capability in commercials, budgets/construction metrics and change management
- Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Proof of right to work in Australia
