Electrical Project Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a practical, site-focused Project Engineer who can operate confidently within a mining environment.

This is a hands-on opportunity suited to a Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Project Engineer with strong resources-sector experience and the ability to work closely with contractors, site teams and stakeholders to deliver projects safely and effectively.

Reporting to the Project Superintendent, you will provide technical and project delivery support across a range of concurrent site projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical support to project teams and contractors
• Supporting projects through planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover
• Coordinating multiple contractors and multidisciplinary interfaces
• Monitoring project scope, schedule, quality and delivery requirements
• Participating in project planning, risk assessments and kick-off meetings
• Facilitating project and team meetings
• Supporting commissioning planning and execution
• Conducting field leadership and site-based project activities
• Managing Technical Queries (TQs), NCRs, ITPs and project documentation
• Supporting project close-out, MDRs and infrastructure handover
• Liaising with Project Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, Area Managers and stakeholders
• Supporting incident investigations and safety initiatives
• Ensuring relevant Business Management System requirements are maintained

Required Experience

• Engineering qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline
• Experience working within the resources/mining sector
• Demonstrated experience supporting or managing multiple projects
• Strong construction/project delivery experience
• Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of project quality, safety and documentation requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong safety leadership and a practical, hands-on approach
• Ability to work effectively in a FIFO site environment
• Previous Australian experience is highly regarded, but candidates with strong international resources/construction experience will also be considered.
