What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated and influential CHPP Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our safety and result-driven team. Safe execution of electrical maintenance activities is the prime objective of this frontline leadership role. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, you will be a key contributor in building and maintaining an excellent workplace culture. You will be responsible for the site fixed plant maintenance and supporting the mine maintenance teams. This position is permanent full time, working a Monday to Friday Roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

In this role you are required to:

• Be a world class leader of people by example by providing visible and credible direction and mentoring to deliver safety and asset management outcomes.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with planning, engineering, and operations personnel.
• Actively participate in the consultative elements of the maintenance planning processes.
• Demonstrate experience in asset management principals and processes, and CMMS experience (preferably SAP).
• Sound computer literacy in Excel, Word and other associated Microsoft packages.
• Provide supervision and guidance in the safe execution of Electrical inspection, repair and maintenance activities and ensure maintenance work complies with all applicable standards, Legislative requirements and in line with the Electrical Engineering Control Plan.
• Control costs at the point of execution, in accordance with operational budgets.

About you:

• You will hold a NSW Department of Fair-Trade Electrical Supervisors Certificate

• Appropriately trained and experienced in High Voltage Switching and Maintenance

• Experience in VSD’s and PLC control systems

• You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

• You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.

• Highly desirable:

  • Post Trade Qualification in PLC’s and/or Instrumentation
  • Engineering Qualifications
  • Supplementary asset management credentials will be highly regarded.
