About Our Client
Our client is Australia's largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines
This is an opportunity to work on a critical project within a high-performing team, offering an attractive hourly rate, excellent roster, and camp accommodation for non-residential employees.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Longwall Relocations Electrical Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all electrical aspects of longwall relocation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and site requirements.
You will provide technical guidance, support work crews, liaise with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all statutory and safety obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee electrical activities associated with longwall relocations
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project requirements
- Provide leadership and technical support to electrical personnel onsite
- Monitor project progress and assist with scheduling and planning activities
- Ensure compliance with site safety systems, procedures, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate maintenance, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and operational teams to achieve project outcomes
- Promote a strong safety culture across all work groups
What You Will Need
- Requires Electrical Engineering degree
- Electrician Trade Cert considered.
- Electrical License
- Proven experience in longwall installation and relocation including shearer, face conveyors and Pump stations
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current UG Standard 11
- Previous Longwall Relocation experience
- Underground coal mining experience
- Experience working on longwall electrical systems and equipment
