Our Tier 1 Mining Client is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Superintendent to join a major project team delivering large-scale infrastructure and decarbonisation projects across mining operations in the Pilbara.

Roster: 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth

Start date: Mid October 2026

Duration: approx. 12 months - with potential to extend

Pay Rate: $1560.00 p/d + Super depending on experience

The Role:

This is an opportunity to take a senior site-based leadership role, working across multiple projects and contractors while ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will provide strong site leadership across construction activities, supporting project and site management teams and working closely with contractors and key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing multiple contracting companies and ensuring construction activities meet safety, quality, technical and project requirements.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Directly manage a multidisciplinary team of up to 30 personnel on site
• Oversee multiple contracting companies and construction projects
• Work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, site teams, contractors and stakeholders
• Participate in project planning, risk assessments and project kick-off meetings
• Monitor contractor onboarding and ensure key deliverables are completed prior to works commencing
• Participate in critical control monitoring, live infrastructure assessments and team-based risk assessments
• Liaise with commissioning teams regarding handover and SIMOPS activities
• Conduct and coach field leadership activities
• Support risk management processes and participate in incident investigations
• Ensure business management system obligations are met
• Develop and implement safety initiatives
• Ensure effective Technical Query (TQ) management
• Oversee Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management
• Ensure project close-out and MDR requirements are completed
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) requirements are implemented and maintained
• Coordinate infrastructure handovers, ensuring all required documentation and deliverables are completed

Required Experience:

• WA A Grade Electrical Licence or relevant tertiary qualifications
• Extensive project or construction management experience
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary and diverse site-based teams
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Experience working within large, complex and dynamic organisations
• Strong planning skills with the ability to look ahead across the works program and optimise delivery
• High Voltage switching experience
• Extensive experience with High Voltage distribution networks, including overhead and underground networks
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations and codes of practice relating to HSE, construction, inspection, testing and commissioning
• A commercially astute, solutions-focused approach to construction delivery
• Strong risk management capability with a focus on safety and commercial requirements completed
