Electrical & Refrigeration Technician

The opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical / Refrigeration Technician to support our Processing team based at Cape Preston. This is a permanent full-time position on a 2/1 roster – Dayshift only, FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical & Refrigeration and site RSO, this role is responsible for providing high level maintenance expertise to all plant refrigeration, air conditioning and electrical equipment at the Concentrator.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Current Western Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence
• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration Fitting
• Full RAC Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Current Drivers Licence
• Knowledge of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems inclusive of packaged chiller units, package air conditioning systems, split systems, industrial water chillers, ice machines and domestic refrigeration.
• Exposure to Conditioning Monitoring
• Excellent communication and computer skills (SAP Preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret Drawings, schematics and PID’s
• Preferred candidates to have EWP, Forklift, Confined Space, Working from heights.
• Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s), Programmable Logic Control (PLC’s) and Communication Protocols.
