About Our Client

Our leading global mining client is proud to be a leading Australian producer of premium quality hard coking coal for export steel markets within Central Queensland's Bowen Basin, with additional joint ventures in steel making coal, copper and manganese across North West Queensland and Western Australia. With steelmaking coal being an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world, this is an fantastic opportunity to join a leading growing client with a focus on sustainability, innovation and progression within the workforce and supporting local communities.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Driller, you will be responsible for supporting safe and efficient drilling operations within an open cut coal mining environment. Your duties will include:

  • Operating drilling equipment in accordance with site procedures
  • Completing drilling activities to required specifications
  • Conducting pre-start inspections and equipment checks
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational standards
  • Working collaboratively with the wider mining operations team

What You Will Need

  • Previous mine site experience as a Driller
  • Driller Statement of Attainment (SOA)
  • Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain
  • Current Standard 11 or willingness to obtain
  • Current Driver's Licence
