About the Company
Hays Mining & Resources are currently seeking an experienced Drill Fitter for a long-term FIFO opportunity with a leading mining contractor operating in Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable contract through to April 2027, working on a fleet of CAT MD6250 and MD6310 drills in a predominantly field service capacity.
About the Role
- Maintaining and repairing CAT MD6250 and MD6310 drill rigs
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults
- Changing feed cylinders
- Removing and replacing drill booms
- Conducting scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns across site
- Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- Australian Trade Certificate III in Heavy Diesel or equivalent heavy mobile plant qualification
- Strong experience working on CAT MD6250 and MD6310 drill rigs
- Minimum 4-5 years' hands-on CAT drill maintenance experience
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment
- Commitment to safe work practices
Qualifications & Certifications
- Australian Trade Certificate III in Heavy Diesel
- Equivalent heavy mobile plant qualification
- C Class Manual Driver's Licence
