Your new role

As a Drill & Blast Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, planning and optimisation of blasting activities across site. You will play a key role in improving fragmentation, productivity and cost efficiency, while ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in line with regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in open cut Drill & Blast
• Strong experience in blast design, optimisation and cost control
• Proficiency in Deswik D&B (or similar blast design software)
• Knowledge of QLD mining legislation, including the MQSH Act and Explosives Act
• A current QLD Shotfirer Licence and Explosives Security Clearance
• Demonstrated ability to work with contractors and manage stakeholders
