About the Role

As a Diesel Fitter, you’ll be responsible for helping maintain the safety, reliability and performance of a large fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance, repairs and component change-outs on heavy mobile plant
• Carrying out diagnostics, fault finding, inspections, overhauls and scheduled servicing
• Performing planned and preventative maintenance in a safe and efficient manner
• Providing daily operational support, including refuelling as required
• Working independently while adhering to site procedures and safety requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team
• Ensuring all work is completed to required safety, quality and compliance standards

About You / Requirements

• A recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter
• Previous experience working on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain
• Standard 11, or willingness to obtain
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

• 7/7 roster – rotating weeks of days and night shifts
• FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO to Blackwater
