Job Description

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance crew supporting a large fleet of heavy mining equipment on site. Working within a supportive and safety-focused team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and minimising downtime across operations.
This role offers a mix of planned maintenance, breakdown support, diagnostics, and component replacements on a range of mining machinery.

$75.00 per hour + super paid on all rostered hours
7/7 rotating roster – days and nights
FIFO from Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, service, and repair heavy mobile mining equipment
Complete component change-outs and machine overhauls
Conduct fault finding and diagnostics across mechanical systems
Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance activities
Respond to breakdowns and provide efficient troubleshooting support
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to site standards
Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and operations teams
Support continuous improvement and workshop efficiency initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter
Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving equipment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
Current Queensland driver’s licence
Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or the ability to obtain
