About the Role
As a Diesel Fitter with MacKellar, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant to keep our equipment safe, reliable and productive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing machine maintenance, component replacements, overhauls and repairs
- Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Completing daily refuelling and equipment inspections
- Carrying out planned maintenance within required timeframes and cost parameters
- Working effectively across day and night shifts
- Following procedure-based maintenance systems and site standards
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or LV Fitter/Mechanic
- Post-trade mining experience
- Proven experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in a workshop environment
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
