We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team in a permanent, full-time position supporting a modern fleet of heavy mining equipment.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring fleet reliability and equipment availability through the delivery of high-quality maintenance and repair activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities
  • Completing component replacements, overhauls and rebuilds
  • Conducting equipment inspections and identifying maintenance requirements
  • Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and service documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site standards
  • Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance personnel to maximise equipment performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Sound understanding of maintenance best practices within a mining environment
  • Current Queensland Driver's Licence
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
