Diesel Fitter

MacKellar is looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team supporting Stockpile Dozer and Co-Disposal operations in the Moranbah region.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a consistent 7/7 day-shift roster, competitive hourly rate and the chance to be part of an established mining contractor with a strong focus on safety, reliability and quality maintenance.

The Opportunity

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and component replacements
• Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Completing equipment inspections and refuelling as required
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
• Supporting continuous improvement across maintenance activities
• Working closely with the wider maintenance team to troubleshoot issues and develop practical solutions

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A recognised Diesel Fitting trade qualification
• Hands-on experience maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and safety
• A current Queensland Driver Licence
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team
