We're currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team in a permanent full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet of heavy mining equipment while enjoying a lifestyle roster and outstanding earning potential.

About the role

As part of a highly skilled maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and availability of our heavy mining fleet. You'll complete planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, component replacements and breakdown repairs to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Completing major component replacements, overhauls and rebuilds
• Performing preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising downtime
• Conducting equipment inspections and identifying maintenance requirements
• Completing maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Working closely with maintenance and operations teams to maximise fleet performance

About you

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

• Australian recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Experience maintaining heavy mining, quarrying or earthmoving equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance and best practice maintenance principles
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
