Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters and Plant Mechanics to join our Blackwater Workshop team. This is a permanent opportunity supporting a large mining fleet within a well-resourced workshop environment.

The Role

Working within our Blackwater Workshop, you will be responsible for maintaining fleet reliability through the completion of planned maintenance, major repairs and component replacements across a diverse range of heavy mining equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing workshop-based maintenance and repair activities
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and identifying effective repair solutions
• Completing component change-outs, overhauls and machine rebuilds
• Conducting scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
• Responding to equipment defects and breakdown repairs
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
• Working collaboratively with fellow tradespeople and operational personnel

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Previous experience maintaining heavy mining, civil or earthmoving equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
