If you're an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for excellent earning potential, long-term job security, and an even-time roster, this opportunity offers the chance to work on a specialised fleet supporting coal handling operations in the Blackwater area.
We are currently seeking skilled Diesel Fitters to join the MacKellar team in a permanent DIDO position, maintaining a fleet of heavy mobile equipment with a strong focus on Caterpillar D10 and D11 dozers.

The Opportunity
As part of the maintenance crew, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of heavy mining equipment operating across coal stockpile activities. The role is heavily focused on dozer maintenance, alongside other supporting mobile plant.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Complete planned maintenance activities and inspections
- Undertake component replacements and major repair work
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Perform routine servicing and machine condition assessments
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with site procedures
- Contribute to safe, productive and efficient maintenance outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mobile plant in mining or civil environments
- Experience working on Caterpillar equipment, particularly D10 and D11 dozers, will be highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team
- Commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship
