About the Role

Design Manager – Engineering Projects. Lead the delivery of major engineering projects and drive design excellence across a multidisciplinary team.

We are partnering with a well-established engineering and project delivery organisation seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design teams across large-scale capital projects. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced EPC/EPCM environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes while developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership and accountability for design delivery across multiple projects.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with established systems, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Driving performance across multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Managing resource planning, workload balancing and forecasting activities.
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance, utilisation and leadership metrics.
• Developing and embedding processes that promote alignment, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Fostering a culture of accountability, ownership and engineering excellence.

About You

• A degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience within engineering design and project delivery environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on major capital projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM project delivery methodologies and design processes.
• Experience with engineering design platforms and industry-standard software packages.
• Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance technical, operational and business priorities.
• Experience using resource planning and project management systems.
