About the Role
Data Engineer (dbt / Snowflake / Python) – Mining Tech | Perth-based
Join a high-performing Systems/Technical Services team building a modern data platform that directly supports mine planning and operational decision-making. You’ll be hands-on in core development, shaping scalable data models and pipelines in a Snowflake + dbt environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and extend a core data platform used by technical stakeholders (mine planning/tech services)
- Design scalable, reusable dbt models + macros
- Develop and maintain dbt-core pipelines in Snowflake
- Refactor and optimise an existing codebase for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate via code reviews, technical discussions, and troubleshooting data issues
What you’ll bring
- Strong SQL + dbt (core) + Snowflake + Python
- Solid data modelling experience (Data Vault + Dimensional / Star Schema)
- Working knowledge of Git and collaborative dev workflows
- Fast-paced problem solver who enjoys building reliable, scalable data products
