About the Role

Join UGL as we build a team on some of Australia’s most complex data centre projects. Deliver critical building services projects with UGL — backed by strong pipeline, Tier 1 systems, and long-term career growth in Sydney.

As a Data Centre Services Engineer – Electrical, you will play a key role in the delivery of a new hyperscale data centre, ensuring the design, coordination and installation of critical electrical infrastructure meets the highest standards of reliability, resilience and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead coordination of electrical building services (LV/MV, UPS, generators) across multidisciplinary teams
  • Review and manage design to meet project, compliance and uptime requirements
  • Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000, AS 3013 and relevant standards
  • Coordinate design, procurement and construction interfaces
  • Support commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST)

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years' experience in building services (ideally data centres / mission critical)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, backup systems and containment
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, etc and compliance requirements)
  • Proven experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams in complex environments
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and ability to manage priorities in fast-paced projects
