About the Role

This is a hands-on role suited to a mechanically minded tradesperson who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and keeping critical equipment operating efficiently. If it has hydraulics or diesel power, you’ll be responsible for keeping it moving.

Equipment Experience

You’ll work across a range of mobile crushing and screening equipment, including:

• Terex Finlay
• Powerscreen
• Metso
• Striker
• Telestack
• Other mobile track-mounted crushing and screening equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, DC electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Strip down, rebuild and overhaul crushing and screening equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems and associated components.
• Conduct servicing, inspections and planned maintenance activities.
• Utilise diagnostic tools to identify faults and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Work collaboratively within a tight-knit maintenance team to minimise downtime.

About You / Requirements

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant / Mechanical).
• Experience working on mobile track-mounted crushing and screening equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Solid hydraulic and DC electrical knowledge.
• Experience with diesel engines and mobile plant maintenance.
• Strong safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant / Mechanical)

Desirable Requirements

• HR Driver’s Licence.
• National Police Clearance (site dependent).
• High Risk Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience within mining, quarrying, or heavy industry environments.
• Rigging Licence
