About the Role
The position will include the following duties:
- Reporting to the Processing Production Superintendent: you will work closely along with both the Processing Engineers and the Production Execution teams while also having key relationships with IPRO, Rail, Fixed Plant Maintenance, Engineering, MCoE and Mining teams.
- Coordinate through the use of process control systems, the operation of production plant, equipment, and infrastructure, overseeing compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions, and defined processes, to achieve optimal OFR and OOR production outcomes to target.
- Conducting Iron Ore testing and interpreting results: preparing technical reports and strategies that are published across teams.
- Support execution of product quality initiatives across all teams, completing verification activities on sample collection and preparation
- Review, approve and close out processing production work management activities in SAP.
- Identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute value to the business from a safety and processing production productivity perspective, ensuring compliance to the change management procedure.
- Take a proactive approach in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
About You
The following attributes and experience will be highly regarded in this position
- The successful candidate will show proven leadership with a willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to new fast paced environments, with a strong background in fixed plant processes & procedures: demonstrating a focus on safety and efficiency, and an ability to approach challenges as opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to self-initiate and successfully role out safety, productivity and cultural improvements.
- Tertiary education in a related field technical field or safety is highly sought after and viewed as a strong advantage.
- Have keen knowledge of process operations such as QAQC, Metallurgical sampling, machine operations and stockyard management.
- Previous experience in fixed plant shutdowns, fixed plant control, and/or processing production highly advantageous.
- Systems knowledge of 1SAP, Fiori, BHP systems, and other production systems such as PiVision, Standardised Word, AMPLA & Citech will be highly advantageous.
- Has a proven work history of workplace safety & culture with commitment to following procedures while maintaining quality standards. Previous experience in a health and safety leadership position such as a crew Health and Safety Representative
- Current unrestricted west Australian C class driver’s license.
