Job Description

Techforce is partnering with a leading organisation within the infrastructure and construction sector to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager for a Melbourne-based opportunity.

This role will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of major projects, including contract administration, variations, claims, subcontractor negotiations, commercial risk and project reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
  • Administer contracts and subcontract agreements.
  • Manage variations, claims, notices and contractual correspondence.
  • Monitor project costs, commitments and commercial performance.
  • Support procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks.
  • Work with project and construction teams to resolve commercial issues.
  • Prepare commercial reports and forecasts.
  • Support project budgeting and cost control.
  • Manage contractual interfaces between clients, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Assist with dispute avoidance and resolution.
  • Provide commercial advice to project leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or similar.
  • Strong major construction or infrastructure project experience.
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management background.
  • Experience managing variations, claims and subcontractors.
  • Experience across telecommunications, infrastructure, construction, energy, mining, marine or heavy industrial projects highly regarded.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and contractual risk.
