About the Company
KCA Site Services are an industry-leading mining labour, equipment and service provider. We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Officer to join us on a paternity leave contract.
About the Role
This position is available for an immediate start and is required until December 2026. Hours of work are from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the CFO, the Payroll and Accounts Officer will take ownership of payroll processing and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial administration across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll, including timesheets, leave, deductions, salary sacrifice, reimbursements and terminations.
- Complete payroll validation and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage statutory payroll obligations including superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, workers compensation and other required payments.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records, reporting and employee information.
- Prepare and issue client invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Manage accounts receivable, including payment allocation, outstanding debt follow-up, aged receivables and monthly statements.
- Monitor work-in-progress and un-invoiced amounts to support timely billing.
- Assist with invoice financing, including weekly uploads, reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer, job and accounts receivable information within Greentree.
- Identify and resolve payroll and finance issues through effective analysis and problem-solving.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll and legislative requirements
- Experience with Greentree, MYOB or similar large ERP system
- Legal right to work within Australia
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- An ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation including corporate office, site, suppliers and contractors
- Highly motivated with ability to use initiative and work without close direction
- High computer literacy and attention to detail
