Breight Group is currently seeking an experienced Contract Manager on a full-time basis to join our dynamic Access Team in a leadership position.
This role will have its main focus on operations and client relationship development. The applicant should also be a strong safety leader in both process and personal safety with a risk-based mind-set. You should be a strategic thinker with good business and commercial acumen & the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shutdown planning, mobilisation, execution, and demobilisation activities.
- Ensure shutdown readiness through effective planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor requirements.
- Deliver shutdowns safely while achieving productivity, quality, schedule, and budget targets.
- Monitor progress and critical path activities, implementing recovery plans where required.
- Lead and develop Superintendents, Coordinators, Supervisors, and site leadership teams.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About you:
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale shutdowns, maintenance programs, or major projects in Australia.
- 7+ years' experience in senior leadership roles within the mining and resources sector.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary access operational teams across multiple work sites.
- Strong knowledge of shutdown planning, scheduling, mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
- Proven experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- A sound understanding of HSEQ, QA/QC, and risk management systems.
- Mechanical and/or Rope Access experience & qualifications is advantageous
