The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Condition Monitoring Technician will join our team on a permanent full-time basis supporting multiple mining and industrial operations across the Singleton and Hunter Valley region.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering advanced condition monitoring services and supporting site reliability programs across critical plant and equipment. You will play a key role in identifying emerging mechanical issues, providing technical analysis, and supporting maintenance teams to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset reliability.
This role also provides technical leadership within the condition monitoring team and will assist with mentoring junior technicians and supporting the ongoing development of monitoring programs across our client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform advanced condition monitoring activities including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound and oil analysis
• Conduct detailed fault diagnosis on rotating equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes and fans
• Analyse machine condition data and identify developing faults and reliability trends
• Provide clear technical reports including findings, recommendations and corrective actions
• Carry out sensor installation, in-situ balancing and alignment of rotating machinery
• Support reliability improvement initiatives and condition monitoring program development
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians where required
• Liaise with client maintenance and engineering teams to ensure effective asset management outcomes
The Successful Applicant Will Ideally Have:
• ISO 18436-2 Level II or Level III Vibration Analysis Certification
• 5+ years experience in condition monitoring and machinery diagnostics
• Experience using vibration analysis software (MHM, CSI, or similar platforms)
• Thermography training and certification highly regarded
• Strong mechanical knowledge including lubrication and oil sampling practices
• Experience working within mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Commitment to safe work practices and workplace health & safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
• Australian working rights
