Job Description

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the commissioning, operation, and optimisation of Sandvik AutoMine systems, ensuring safe and efficient autonomous equipment performance underground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operation and optimisation of Sandvik AutoMine systems
  • Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on Sandvik autonomous equipment
  • Troubleshoot automation hardware, sensors, networks, and control systems
  • Assist with system upgrades, software updates, and configuration changes
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and OEM representatives
  • Promote and maintain high safety and operational standards onsite

Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification or Auto Electrician Qualification
  • Proven experience with Sandvik AutoMine
  • Underground mining experience
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a FIFO environment
  • Strong safety focus and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Highly Regarded
  • Experience on Sandvik loaders or drills
  • OEM or AutoMine specialist background
  • Exposure to PLCs, automation, or networked systems
  • Experience on major underground mining projects
